Description
The small-jobs knife of the Okami line: at 5 inches it handles garlic, shallots, and anything too fine for the Gyuto to control precisely. Forged and finished in Seki, Japan.
Features
• The fine point handles hulling, coring, and small trim work without a knife change.
• Short enough for full in-hand control, long enough for real board tasks.
• First reach for peeling and detail work where a bigger blade gets in its own way.
• Hardness measures 60 ±2 HRC on the VG-10 center layer, enough backbone to keep its bite between honings.
• Suminagashi cladding, 67 folds deep, patterns each flank with its own waterline figure.
• It weighs in near 3.5 oz, light enough that a long prep session never wears on the hand.
Rosewood in a western riveted grip, scaled small to match the blade, with a polished steel bolster.
Covered for life against manufacturing defects, with 30-day returns. Ships free from our US warehouse with fast delivery.

Shipping & Returns
Shipping. Every knife ships free, with no minimum order. Orders are processed within 1 to 4 business days and most arrive within 2 to 4 weeks, with tracking emailed to you as soon as yours is on its way. Each blade is made by hand in Seki, Japan, so it travels to reach you. There is nothing for you to pay on arrival.
Returns. 30-day money-back guarantee. If the knife is not right for you within 30 days, return it for a full refund. No restocking fees and no questions asked. To start a return, call us at +1 (504) 399-3015 or email [email protected], Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM ET. You cover return shipping back to us, and your refund is issued to your original payment method as soon as the knife arrives. Anything that reaches you damaged or flawed, we replace at no cost.
Lifetime Warranty
Every one of our blades is forged by hand and guaranteed for life against defects in materials and craftsmanship. If a fault ever shows in the steel, the edge, or the construction, we repair or replace it.
It does not stop there. Every knife also comes with free sharpening for life. When the edge eventually softens with everyday use, send it back and we restore it to factory sharpness at no charge, so your knife cuts like new for as long as you own it.
The defect warranty covers manufacturing faults under normal kitchen use. It does not cover ordinary wear, rust from improper drying, accidental damage, misuse such as cutting bone or frozen food, or dishwasher damage. To make a claim or arrange a sharpening, contact our support team with your order number and a photo, and we will make it right.
Care & Maintenance
Hand wash, never the dishwasher. Wash the blade by hand with warm water and a little soap, then dry it straight away with a soft cloth. The dishwasher dulls the edge and damages the handle.
Cut on wood or plastic. Use a wooden or plastic board. Glass, stone, granite, and ceramic will chip a fine edge.
Hone often, sharpen rarely. A few passes on a honing rod every week or two keeps the edge true. When it finally needs sharpening, a whetstone restores it, or send it to us for free sharpening.
Store it safely. Keep the knife on a magnetic strip, in a saya, or in a block, not loose in a drawer where the edge can knock against other tools.
Keep it dry. Never leave the knife to soak or sit wet in the sink. A drop of food-safe oil before long storage protects both the steel and the Damascus pattern.

Sharpest blade I've ever felt
I have handled plenty of knives over the years and none came close to this out of the box. It slipped through a ripe tomato under its own weight, genuinely the sharpest thing I have ever felt.

Almost didn't risk it
Buying a knife I couldn't hold first made me nervous. It arrived better made than blades I have paid double for, and far sharper than I expected.

Sharper than my Wüsthof
Cooked with a Wüsthof for fifteen years and thought nothing would top it. It arrived sharper and lighter, and is quietly my everyday knife now.
Daniel R., 6 days ago
Still sharp months on
I was sure it would dull like my old set, the way they always do. Eight months of daily use later, honed just once, it still glides through a tomato.
Marcus T., 1 week ago
Best gift I've given
Bought it for my husband and feared it would feel cheap. The Damascus is stunning, the box got a gasp, and he will not stop talking about it.
Elena V., 1 week ago
It really is that sharp
I rolled my eyes at the Japanese-steel claims, then put it to work. Six weeks in a busy kitchen with fish and onions, it is still frighteningly sharp.
Diego M., 2 weeks ago
Arrived fast and safe
I was wary of ordering a blade online, sight unseen. It shipped from the US in just three days, sealed in a guard, and arrived without a scratch.
Tom B., 2 weeks ago
Effortless in the hand
I have small hands and feared it would feel clumsy. It is far lighter and better balanced than my old chef's knife, so sharp I nicked myself day one.
